Right now, at this very moment in time, millions – literally millions of people all across America are in front yards, back yards, parks, parking lots, ball fields, open air stadiums, and parked on the roadsides of America hoping to get somewhat of a glimpse of the ‘Great American Eclipse.’ The Solar Eclipse, on August 21st, 2017, is a phenomenon that hasn’t happened in 99 years. Here in the Mid-South, at 1:22pm, time has stood still! As I have driven in town, and now standing in the parking lot of my church in West Memphis I can see dozens of vehicles pulled over on the shoulder on I-40, I am blown away at how many people are outside with their eyes toward the skies!
I have to wonder, “if this is what it’s going to be like on Planet Earth, the moment that God raptures His church?” Think about it, there is coming a day when God will call His church to our forever home. When that moment happens, it will make this Great Eclipse 2017 pale in comparison. In the blink of an eye, the church will be gone, leaving millions staring toward the heavens seeking answers.
There won’t be news casts broadcasting the event, Facebook posts letting everybody know where they were and what they were doing when it happened, nor will there be schools letting out to observe the event. Although every news outlet, Facebook and all of social media will go insane after it happens!
The question that you should not ask is, “When is it going to happen?” But instead, “Am I ready for it to happen?”
Revelation 4:1 – “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.””
It’s going to happen. No doubt. And Thank God you won’t need special glasses when it does.
