Who Moved My Pulpit?
Book Review by Rev. Matthew Hodges
Just the title alone will get you interested in this book. I personally have moved a pulpit to fit my style of preaching, so I was real interested what this book had to say. No matter what stage of ministry you are in, you will be leading change in some sort of fashion. Just the difference between personalities of pastors will be a change for a local church. Dr. Thom Rainer gives practical advice about leading change within your church. In Chapter 2, Dr. Rainer identifies different types of members that every church has that will hinder change. Having a name for these types of members will help you focus in your prayer time during change. Following Chapter 2, there is a step-by-step way to lead change. The book is an easy read with simple truths that will jump out to you. This book, “Who Moved My Pulpit?”, even will be a good book for a pastor to take his key leadership team through to help show the path to take when implementing change. This book will definitely be a blessing and encouragement for you!
